Dear All,
The deadline for comments about the Lime Down Solar Scheme ends on Friday 9th January. As the installation work and the solar farm will affect us all in the village, here are some instructions on how to register your opinion.
- Click on this: https://national-infrastructure-consenting.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/EN010168
- Scroll down to the green box that says “Register to have your say”
- Click on green box “Start Now”
- Click on option one to say you’re registering for yourself. “Myself” or if you’re registering as your business – then click on “an organisation I work or volunteer for” Remember you can do both.
- Enter the next few questions – your Full Name, your home address, your email. That you’re an adult
- In the box, you then write your comments. If you have already prepared your comments, then just copy and paste these into the box.
- Check the details and click submit
- You’ll be given Reference number. Keep hold of this – it’s in a big green box. This is your interested party number and means that you can be part of the examination and submit further comments should you wish.
- Ask your spouse / parents/ siblings / friends / neighbours to do the same.
The Parish Council has raised an objection regarding the construction traffic. The inadequacy of narrow local roads for the anticipated volume of construction traffic and daily workers will affect the village. Current estimates are for 104 HGV trips, 24 bus trips, and 334 car trips PER DAY during construction, with up to 622 workers on site. The construction phase is expected to last 2 years. The main route for the traffic will be from Cirencester due to the low bridge at Corston. This will push more traffic onto our roads.
