Congratulations to Annabelle Teal and Kate Margolis on the birth of their daughter Phoebe who was born on the 8th August. It is lovely to have a new addition to the village and we look forward to seeing her out and about.
Panto Update – Message From Julie
You may have wondered what is happening about the Panto as I have not posted anything over recent weeks. The summer has been very busy with holidays and fine tuning of details. However, I am pleased to announce that the first gathering of the Shipton Moyne Panto Company will be held on Sunday 1st September in the Village Hall, 4pm – 7pm.
All those who have previously volunteered, responded positively to being press ganged, or are not yet on board, are invited to attend.
This first gathering will set out a schedule of rehearsals and performance details, introduce the script and final casting, and include a specific set of back stage roles for setting up the venue, stage, and all aspects of the production.
Please do come if you have put your name down in any capacity or if you are newly interested. There will be a glass of wine and nibbles to end the session with.
I realise this is short notice and some people will be away or busy but I think it will be good to get started with those who are around and able to attend.
