Michael Vivian Ball
Micky Ball’s funeral will be on Thursday 4th September at 2pm in the church, followed by refreshments in the village hall. The family extends a warm welcome to all.
St John the Baptist
Here are the services for the next month:
- Sunday 31st August – No service in Shipton Moyne. 3pm St Marys’ Tetbury Service for the licensing of Revd Sarah Hayward as the new rector of the Tetbury Benefice. Service to be followed by a reception at St Marys’.
- Sunday 7th September – 11.15am Holy Communion taken by the Revds Margaret and Richard Maslin.
- Sunday 14th September – 11.15am Harvest Festival taken by Revd Sarah Haywood.
- Sunday 21st September – 11.15am Holy Communion taken by Revd Julie Nicholson.
- Sunday 28th September – 11.15am Family Service taken by the Family Service Team.
Harvest Supper
The Harvest Supper will be on the 12th September in the Birdwood’s Barn. Tickets are £10 each to include food and drink. Please get your ticket from Pauline Curthoys.
We would love to see as many of the village as can make it.
If you would like to make a salad or pudding please contact Lucy Boggis-Rolfe or me. A chance to show off your culinary skills!
If your skills are not in the cooking department, James is looking for volunteers to perform after the supper. Poems, readings, songs or skits – all will be well received by the audience.
Church Cleaning
Please don’t forget to come along and help clean the church on Saturday 13th September at 10.30.
- Coffee Morning
Do come along to the Cat & Custard Pot on Tuesday 16th September at 11.00 for a cup of coffee and delicious cake!
