St John the Baptist
- Sunday 1st March – 11.15am Holy Communion taken by Revd. Julie Nicholson

- Sunday 15th March – Mothering Sunday. There will be no service in Shipton Moyne this Sunday. Anyone from the village wishing to attend a Mothering Sunday service is warmly invited and very welcome to join St. Mary’s Tetbury at 10 o’clock.
Our village chaplain, Julie, has been invited by the Dean of St. Paul’s Cathedral to preach in St. Paul’s on Sunday 15th March. This will be during the main service at 11.15am. A number of people have expressed an interest in attending the service in St. Pauls. If there are sufficient numbers it may be possible to organise a minibus. Please contact Julie if you are interested in going to London - Sunday 22nd March – 11.15am Family Service taken by the Family Service Team
- Sunday 29th March – Palm Sunday 11am – Meet outside Shipton Cottage for Palm Sunday Procession
Parish Council
There will be a meeting of the Parish Council on Tuesday 10th March at 7.00pm. Please come along at the start of the meeting if you have any issues you would like to raise.
Coffee Morning at the Cat & Custard Pot
This month’s coffee morning will be on 17th March at 11am. Do come along to the pub and enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of cake.
Knead Bakery
Sadly Knead Bakery will not be coming to the village this month.
Coffee Morning at the Village Hall
Last month’s coffee morning in the Village Hall was a great success. The Village Hall Committee will be having another coffee morning on Saturday 14th March at 10.30am. By all accounts the cakes are wonderful!
Defibrillator
Thanks to the Village Trust and St James Place there is now a new defibrillator outside the Village Hall. Both defibrillators (Village Hall and Recreation Ground) are now fully operational.
Book Club
The Book Club met last night to discuss The Island by Victoria Hislop. Next month’s book choice is The Showman by Simon Shuster. It is the story of the invasion of the Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelensky – it should be an interesting read. The meeting will be on Thursday 26th March at 6.30pm.
Tetbury Road Closure 9th – 27th March
Bath Road coming out of Tetbury will be closed for much of next month. See attached letter and map.
