Appointment of new Rector
As some of you know, an interview panel met earlier this month to find a new Rector of the Benefice of Tetbury, Beverston, Long Newnton and Shipton Moyne. There were three good candidates, and I am pleased to say that the new Rector will be The Revd. Sarah Heywood, who will not be moving very far to join us, as she is currently Curate at Malmesbury.
Sarah is married to Harry and they have three young sons. Please do keep Sarah and her family in your prayers as they prepare to move to Tetbury. We look forward to welcoming her here in the village.
Coffee Morning in the Cat & Custard Pot
This month’s coffee morning is on Tuesday 8th May at 11am . Come and enjoy a delicious slice of cake and coffee. All welcome.
VE Day 2025
There will be a Vintage Afternoon Tea in commemoration of 80 years since VE Day on Saturday 3rd May at 2.30pm in the Village Hall. We hope you will be able to join us. James Birdwood and Ian Carling are going to lead us singing some old time favourites.
Offers of cakes, sandwiches and scones would be very welcome. Many thanks to all those who have already offered to help. The organisers will be in touch soon with suggestions of what to make.

Mobile Post Office
Help Please. Registration Plate AC06 HYV. See photo.
Does anyone know who this car belongs to? It is parked where the Post Office Van is located on Mondays and Thursdays and blocking the internet access for the van.
