Michael Vivian Ball
Micky Ball’s funeral will be on Thursday 4th September at 2pm in the church, followed by refreshments in the village hall. The family extends a warm welcome to all.
Micky was born on 28th March 1929 in Reading, Berks. In 1978 he and Greta moved to Manor Farm at Estcourt, where they farmed until 2000. They lived in the village until 2013 when they moved to Bicester to be near their daughter.
Micky and Greta loved Shipton Moyne and the Cotswolds, and made many friends here in the village.
St John the Baptist
Sunday 24th August – Animal Service
11.15am – Revd. Julie Nicholson will be taking the annual service of thanksgiving for our four-footed and feathered friends. Do come along with your pet for a short service followed by coffee and biscuits. All animals (and humans) welcome.
Sunday 31st August
There will be no service in Shipton Moyne this day as the Institution by the Bishop of Tewkesbury and the Induction by the Archdeacon of Cheltenham of the Revd Sarah Heywood as Rector of the Tetbury Benefice will take place at St Marys’ in Tetbury at 3pm. The service will be followed by drinks and canapes in the church. All welcome.

Church Cleaning
Please come along and help give the Church a good clean at 10.30am on Saturday 13th September before the Harvest Festival.
Harvest Supper 12th September
This will be in the Barn at Street Farmhouse at 7pm. Everyone is welcome.
Tickets are £10 each to include food, drink and entertainment. The best value in the Cotswolds! Tickets from Pauline Curthoys.
Lucy Boggis-Rolfe and Beth Birdwood will be organising the food, and would be very grateful for help with salads and puddings.
James Birdwood is organising the entertainments. New performers are always welcome, and a friendly audience is guaranteed.
