Dear All,
Not much to report this week.
St John the Baptist
This morning at 11.15am there will be a service of Holy Communion taken by Rev Pauline Setterfield.
And advance notice that next Sunday also at 11.15am will be the Animal Service, bring all your pets (and family).
Message from the Churchwardens
You may have noticed the scaffolding on the church tower. The original 1860’s leadwork finally got beyond repair after years of patching. It is being taken away, melted down and recast ready for the next 150 years… We will be asking for donations to help pay for this and a replacement for the central heating boiler.
Mobile Post Office
The mobile post office should be back from its repairs on Monday 22nd August at 10.30am.
A reminder that this very useful service comes to the village twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays from 10.30am to 11.30am.
Road Closure
As I’m sure you have all noticed, Church Lane will be closed on Wednesday 24th August for one day.
Lucy Boggis-Rolfe has kindly asked me to let anyone in Church Lane know that the field next to the church will be available for parking on 24th, and the gate onto the Malmesbury Road will be open so you won’t get trapped by the road closure!
Any more news let me know,
Beth
