Carol Singing
Many thanks to all those who contributed to the collection for the homeless on Carol Singing evening. Olivia Hodgson managed to persuade the villagers to part with £365.35. Another record. Well done Olivia!
I have a few IOUs that were given that evening, for an extra £85. If you would like to make a transfer to redeem these you can pay it into the account used for the Panto. Let me know and I will add it to the total:

Village Playground Fundraising
The Parish Council is very pleased to announce that thanks to the generosity of so many in the village, the incredible sum of £44,997 has been raised from the recent fundraising initiative for the village playground. This will enable us to do what we so hoped to do, namely to replace and improve the children’s playground in the Recreation Ground. Importantly, this sum raised will not only cover the cost of the works involved (approximately £41, 000) but will provide an additional pot of money to allow ongoing maintenance of the playground as and when it is needed. This additional pot of money will be ring-fenced and will only be used for the maintenance of the playground.
The fundraising will continue until the Tesco Fundraiser is over in early January. This will allow anyone who still wants to be part of this wonderful village effort to contribute.
Can I once again reiterate how grateful the Parish Council is for everyone’s incredible support of this initiative. What a wonderful village we have!
Defibrillator
There is now a second defibrillator in the village. This is located at the Pavilion on the Recreation Ground and supplied by the Avon Vale Football Club. The original defibrillator is outside the Village Hall.
