St John The Baptist
Tomorrow there will be no morning service at Shipton Moyne. Instead there will be a traditional Evensong service in the church at 6pm taken by Rev Poppy Hughes. There will be a glass of wine afterwards.
This is a new idea for the 5th Sunday of the month of which there are 3 or 4 a year. The evensong will rotate around the three smaller parishes of Shipton Moyne, Long Newnton and Beverston, and are intended to be for the entire benefice. We would love to know what people think of this.
Street Party
During the street party next Friday there will be ‘Shipton Moyne’s Got Talent’. This can be a song, Karaoke, poem, reading, tap dancing, playing a musical instrument, juggling – you name it. Don’t be shy! Please let James know (james@bta.co.uk) if you have something to offer. Or just put yourself forward at the time if the spirit takes you!
