SHIPTON MOYNE FLOWER & CRAFT SHOW

Don’t forget that the Flower and Craft Show is coming up at the end of the month. 

Here are some of the categories that you can be working on now  and don’t forget the jams and chutneys.

SECTION 4: CLASSES FOR CHILDREN (16 AND UNDER)

34 Coloured picture (age 6 and under)

35 Coloured picture (age 7-9)

36 Coloured picture (age 10-12)

37 Miniature garden on a dinner plate

38 A sculpture from vegetables

39 Handwriting

VERSE FOR CLASS 39: 

There once was a man from Leeds

Who swallowed a packet of seeds

A great big rose

Sprouted out of his nose

And his head was covered in weeds!

SECTION 5: HANDICRAFT

Please complete and place in an envelope with the correct entry fees and deliver to Fieldhead by 8pm Wednesday, 18 August 2021.

Exhibit fees for all classes are 50p.  Entries by children (12 & under) are free of charge.

Thursday Club

The Thursday Club has begun its fortnightly meetings once more.  The next meeting is on Thursday August 12th  at 10,30am in the Village Hall.  Come and join us, everyone welcome!

The Club is open to Shipton Moyne & local area residents. Meetings are from 10.30-12.30in the Hall &  begin with tea/coffee & biscuits and a really good chat to friends & neighbours. Then we usually have some form of of fun activity such as a Beetle Drive. Quiz,  visits to local places, speakers. etc. Cost is £1 towards the cost of the Hall and £1 for the Raffle. Contact Marjorie for any more information otherwise just turn up you will be most welcome. Next Meeting Thursday 26th August.

Bath Lift Available

Can anyone make use of a Neptune Bath Lift, complete with an instruction booklet?  Contact Marjorie Bowler 880328.

St John the Baptist

There will be a service of Holy Communion with Baptism on Sunday at 11.15am.  Florence Dryen is being christened. All welcome.
