Dear All,
Ken Dryden
Some very sad news that many of you will already know. Ken Dryden died on Thursday while out walking his beloved Hamish. He was a friend to so many of us in the village and will be sorely missed. At this very sad time our love and prayers are with Pat and Richard and Ryan.
St John the Baptist
There will be a service of Holy Communion on Sunday at 11.15 taken by Rev Julie Nicholson. All very welcome.
Shipton Moyne Thursday Club
A message from Marjorie Bowler:
Sadly, after 25 years, the Thursday Club is closing down. Finding someone with time and inclination to continue the organisation required has proved problematic since Covid-19 has reared its head. Over the years we have had many enjoyable hours together, sometimes in the Village Hall and sometimes having excursions round our beautiful Cotswold countryside.
We close the Club in the reverse of the way in which we began. Having had Charitable donations to start our original financial situation, we have now donated our existing funds to seven charities — Tetbury Hospital, Glos Air Ambulance, British Heart Foundation, RSPCA, RNLI, Alzheimer’s Society and Ukraine.
The Committee is very grateful to all those members who have supported the Club over the years.
Sylvia Warner, Rosemary Hodges, Marjorie Bowler.
Coffee Morning
There will be a coffee morning at the Cat on Tuesday this coming week ay 11.00am. Do come along.
