Dear All,

Harvest Supper

A very big thank you to all who contributed to the Harvest Supper last night. Thanks to all the donations of food, wine and talent we had a very enjoyable evening and all the proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to the fund raising for the new playground.

Harvest Festival

There will be a service of thanksgiving for the harvest in the church tomorrow morning at 11.15am. The service will be taken by Revd. Sarah Heywood, the new rector of Tebury, Beverston, Long Newnton and Shipton Moyne. Do come along to welcome her to our church for the first time.

Fundraising for the New Playground

Many thanks to all who have already contributed to the fund for the new playground. In the first week there have been donations of over £2000. This will be added to the money raised by the Allies family in memory of Martin and the donation from the Village Trust. The Cat & Custard Pot has donated the money raised from the Quiz nights. There is still a way to go and all donations big or small are very gratefully received.

In the meantime, the playground has had to be closed as it failed its annual inspection and is deemed to be dangerous. The Parish Council is hoping to raise the money need for the refurbishment as soon as possible so that work to replace the activities can get underway.

A reminder of the bank details for any donations:
