Village News 9th July 2022

Dear All,

We are on holiday at the moment so apologies if I have missed anything!

Message from Victoria Hardiman

Wayne and I disturbed 2/3 men fly tipping in Cranmore Lane this morning (1st July) at 6.15am. We got a vehicle registration and reported it straight away so the police are aware and there is now a crime number linked to it. They items are large plastic containers and there is liquid spilt too (so could be harmful).

We’ve checked out the vehicle on DVLA and it’s untaxed. It was a white Peugeot, with 2 men (who I would describe as in their 30’s, both dark hair with beards and very likely not English ) and possibly a third in the back.

Could you email all to advise that the police are aware – I assume Cotswold District Council will be made aware so the relevant people will come and clear up once the police have all the evidence they need (assuming they will attend).

St John the Baptist

There will be a service of Matins at 11.15am on Sunday taken by Rev Julie Nicholson. All very welcome.

Catsitter wanted

We are looking for someone to look after our cat Teddy while we are away. He currently enjoys the freedom of the village, but we have guests staying at our house and need someone who can keep him indoors, so that he doesn’t try to go back home. We will provide food and pay a boarding fee so that he can enjoy more space than a cattery and the company of someone that he can get to know. If you would be happy to look after him, please get in contact.

Any news let me know,

Beth
