Dear All,

St John The Baptist

Tomorrow is Mothering Sunday. There will be a family service at 11.15am with flowers for the mums.

Clock Change

Don’t forget to put your clocks forward tonight.  One less hour in bed but the start of lovely long evenings!

Church Cleaning

Next Saturday 2nd April there will be a church cleaning party to get everything spick and span for Easter, and for Hetty and Nick’s wedding.  Pauline Curthoys is organizing this – thank you Pauline. Starting at 10.00am.  All very welcome.  Many hands make light work.

Jubilee

The plans for the jubilee celebrations are well under way.  Bonfire Evening on Thurs 2nd June and Street Party on Friday 3rd June. We have applied for a road closure for the 3rd June. Much more to follow, and we will be asking for helpers nearer the time, but please contact me if you want to know more or would like to help.

Talk on Saturday 23rd April

There will be a talk by Sir Nicholas White (Christopher’s father) in the church entitled The18,000 KM Diaries, describing his fundraising journey from China to the UK via the North Cape. More information on this amazing trip is attached. https://bit.ly/18000kmdiaries. Tickets are for sale with Doreen and the Pub.  There will be a glass of wine or two. Not to be missed!

Bellringing

To make sure the church bells are well rung for the Jubilee (and Easter) there will be Monday evening ringing practices starting this Monday 28th at 7.15pm for an hour.  Anyone who would like to have a go and find out more about this ancient English art, please come along to the bell tower. Any question please call James on 880523,
