Dear All

Shipton Moyne Show

A huge thank you to Amanda Hornby. Lily Riddick and their team (as below) for organising such a fun afternoon for everyone in the village.

Pauline Curthoys

Derek Baker

Ken Dryden

Ian Spruels

I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone.

It was wonderful to see so many of the village getting together again after all the lockdowns.

A Message From Lily Riddick and Amanda Hornby

Congratulations to our Village for showing their best flowers, vegetables, handicraft and cookery skills.  Our judges were blown away that every entry came from one village.  Lance Vick who has run the Tetbury Flower Show for 45 years could not have been more complimentary.  Special thanks to Lance, Fionna and Poppy for their expertise in judging such high quality exhibits.

Thank you to everyone for your enthusiasm, support and participation.  We couldn’t have had such a successful day without you. Thanks to you, we were able to raise £1,810 which will be shared by the Village Hall and the Church.  Well done everyone!

St John the Baptist

Pauline  Curthoys is organising a cleaning morning in the church next Wednesday at 9.30am.  Natasha Cardale is getting married  next Saturday and it will be good to get the church looking at its best for their big day.

Please come along to help.  It will good to have lots of volunteers.  Many hands make light work.

There will be a service of Holy Communion this Sunday at 11.15am taken by the Revd Poppy Hughes.  All welcome

A message from Gregory Rickard:

I stayed in the Cat on Sunday 29/08, loved everything about the village.
Popped over to the village hall before we left and were made most welcome, had a preview of the day’s event, very impressed with the effort made by the community
The cakes we bought were delicious.
Thank you so much
Holly and Greg
