Palm Sunday 13th April 11am at Shipton Cottage
Would anyone like to take part in the dramatic reading of the passion gospel on Palm Sunday in the morning service? Date is 13th April at 11am, with a practice late afternoon the day before. Scripts available in advance. The reading lasts about 15/20 minutes and tells the story of Jesus’s betrayal, arrest, trial and crucifixion. Not quite panto but certainly dramatic. No costumes or wigs required! Two large parts, smaller parts and crowd parts available. Please let me know if you are interested and willing.

Janet Jones
As you probably know Janet sadly passed away peacefully on 1st March at the age of 93. Hilary Douglas her daughter plans to inter Janet’s ashes on Thursday 20th March at 1 pm in Shipton Moyne Churchyard, followed by refreshments in the Cat and Custard at 1.30pm, and has asked me to notify as many people as possible.
They will meet in the Churchyard or the Church if the weather is unkind for a short prayer. Everyone is welcome to join them and if you think you will be there, please let me know so that they can organise numbers for catering purposes.
Village Litter Pick – 5th April 10am – Weather Permitting
The Parish Council is planning a morning of litter picking from our footpaths and verges. The plan is to meet at the Village Hall car park at 10am to split into groups and return by 11am for bacon sandwiches supplied by the Parish Council and an opportunity to buy pastries etc from Knead Bakery.
Please come along to help keep our lovely village pristine! Bring bin bags, rubber gloves and litter pickers. Any large items can be collected later.
If you can come and join in please let me know so we have some idea of numbers for catering.

Cotswold Homes and Interiors Festival Returns to Cirencester
Following the success of its inaugural event last year, the Cotswold Homes and Interiors Festival is set to return on Saturday 29 March 2025.
Taking place in the heart of Cirencester at The Corn Hall from 10am to 5pm, the festival promises to be even more expansive, featuring a variety of new attractions and esteemed speakers.
This year, the festival will expand to outdoor stalls in the Market Place, thanks to a partnership with Cirencester Town Council and support from Cotswold District Council.
Attendees can look forward to insightful talks from renowned designers, with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Vanessa Arbuthnott sharing their expertise. Other discussions will cover topics such as decluttering, the use of colour in interiors, retrofitting homes for energy efficiency, and the restoration of derelict historic buildings on Dollar Street in Cirencester. The talks will take place inside The Corn Hall, alongside the various stalls showcasing some of the best Cotswold home and interior offerings.
