H.M. The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Street Party

The road through the middle of the village will be closed at 9.30am on Friday 3rd June until the early evening.  Access will be available to the pub car park.  

Residents of Church Lane will be able to access the road to Malmesbury through the paddocks at the end of Church Lane 

Would all residents who usually park in the Street move their cars to either the Birdwood field at the North end of the village or to the Boggis-Rolfe field at the South end. Areas have been mown for parking

Outfit sorted …. bunting dusted down … ready to go?  

The Street Party will start at 12.30 on Friday with stalls in the Village Hall car park.

The bar will be open from 12.30 manned by Harry Wright and his team.

Please come dressed for a Right Royal Day. Red, White and Blue? Your favourite outfit from 1952? The judges will be looking our for the best dressed Shipton Moyner.

Don’t forget to put your bunting up too. Can anyone out-do number 5 The Street? There is also a competition for the best dressed house!

JUBILEE STALLS – 12.30 – 2pm, Friday 3rd June  

The Jubilee Village Produce Stall is getting ready and will have lots of wonderful produce from the village. Chutneys, Preserves, Biscuits, Jams, Homemade Cards and plenty of other delights. It will be in the village hall carpark alongside the Tombola and Skittles – please make sure you come with empty baskets to fill. There will be plenty to buy and much to win. We plan to use a card reader so would love your support and if anyone would like to make a donation towards the festivities this would be your moment. Card or cash – Shipton Moyne will be hugely grateful.

Pauline Curthoys and Diane Peplow are running the Tombola – always a big favourite. Please come along and see what you can win. Please bring cash for the Tombola. If you would still like to make a donation to the Tombola please drop it off with Pauline or Diane by tomorrow evening.

Derek Baker and Steve White will be running the skittles. Come and test your skill (or luck) and see if you can win!

A delicious lunch will be served from about 2pm. Hog Roast from the Purton Roasters, delicious salads made by teams around the village, followed by a special Shipton Moyne Jubilee Pudding designed and made by our very own Masterchef Koj. Strawberries and chocolate treats made by Caroline Pitman.

This all will be followed by musical entertainment from Route 44. More to follow on this.
