Join us for a performance of J. L. Carr’s much-loved novel A Month in the Country, adapted for the stage by Helen Currie and Julie Nicholson. Set in the summer of 1920, the play follows a veteran who arrives in a Yorkshire village to restore a medieval wall painting. As the work progresses, village life brings unexpected friendship, healing and renewal.
Refreshments will be available before the performance and during the interval, with donations welcome.
